Improved Design, Speed & Functionality Defines DRM Q3 2011

Los Angeles, CA (September 5, 2011) – Dependable Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of brand licensing systems for licensors, agents and licensees, announced today the latest update to its flagship software, Dependable Rights Manager (DRM), offering major improvements in contract and creative processing.

“We continually strive to ensure that licensing professionals have the best tools they need to increase revenues while keeping costs under control,” says Marty Malysz, president of Dependable Solutions, Inc.  “The latest enhancements in DRM are a giant step forward in both speed and presentation of the system for all your clients.”

Among the new features in DRM Q3 2011:

• New and improved user interface: New cleaner, better organized interface with an improved layout of tasks throughout.

• Improved accounting interface: The design of external accounting systems is greatly enhanced to help users export invoices, payments and GL journal transactions from DRM to your internal accounting systems (also simplified definition of GL posting and transaction processes to feed subledgers)

• Choose your color: Personalize color schemes per user, or by department, using newly available color templates.

• Speed of royalty processing increased: Income statement load as well as processing speed and efficiency are greatly increased (e.g., 500K lines statement in 18 minutes).

• Notification of royalty statements received: Indicate who receives notification on their welcome page or email to track royalty or forecast submissions by selected licensees.

• Forecasting against budget: With a new Main Budget forecast function, internal forecasts may be established and compared to licensee-reported forecasts.

• Product development becomes approval workflow: Product Development has been renamed Approval Workflow, as it covers non-product submissions such as advertising, artwork and contracts.  The new interface improves the presentation of each submission, especially with comments rights next to the image displayed.

• Enhanced content library: Email an image to those off the system and enjoy improved consistency between Image View and List Views in DRM.

• Excel royalty & forecasts upload templates: Licensees can import royalty statements from Microsoft Excel worksheets or comma-separated values (CSV) files into DRM.

• Enhanced error handling: Improved troubleshooting and error handling features to resolve errors in statement submissions and make the correct decision on how to handle issues on each statement.

• Batch print of approved invoices: Larger accounting departments can now separate the approval and printing of invoices for payment between user roles and print an entire batch of invoices at one time.

• Separate logos on each invoice: Agents and licensor managing multiple companies can establish a logo by licensor or agency to appear on each invoice.  Also establishes standard bank accounts on invoices for different licensors.

• New current royalty period filters: Quickly find a transaction through improvements that better sort invoices and accounting activities each period by licensee, licensor, type and other attributes.

• Limit access by user to select contracts: Controls who can see each contract by specific user or user groups throughout DRM (e.g., brand managers only see their own contracts).

• Activity logs email notifications more informative: Activity logs can now show more information when email is sent externally to help note specific actions or tasks.

• Photos on file: Users can now upload a profile image for each contact in Companies and Contacts.
